So I have a stock 2021 1500 Warlock with 3.92 gearing and pull a 26 foot travel trailer pretty regularly. I'm finally considering a lift and have no idea where to start. I think I'd like to stick with 33's (although it seems like that's a normal starting point and then 6 months later everyone is talking about wishing they went with 35+). But I'm pretty sure I want to stay as economical and efficient as possible while pulling the trailer. So what do you all recommend? I'm due for tires anyway.

Right now I have 17 x 8 rims with 265/70/17 tires. Not even sure if those rims can hold a 33- total newb here.

Again, quality of the ride and efficiency is probably more important than the size of the lift and appearance.

Fire away~

Towing a trailer of that size, personally I would keep it under 3”. Look at bilstein 5100 and 6112, Fox 2.0 and 2.5, eibach, do some searches and read through some threads on here and determine what fits your price range and usage the best.

You could probably get away with a 33x11.50R17 without needing a lift.

Would that give me about 2” of extra ground clearance by running 33’s vs my current 265/70r17’s? Not sure how to figure that out.

265/70R17's are 31.6 inches tall and 10.4 inches wide.

If they are true 33’s (many tires measure less than on sidewall), they will be about 1.5” taller. So roughly 3/4” additional height with just the tires.
