Lightbar on bumper

Hi to all,

I plan to add a 20" curved combo light bar to my Ram 1500.

My question is : is it possible to place it directly (w/brackets) on the bumper (instead of down in the bumper) ?

Usage : trail mostly

Short answer yes.

Yes, (sorry for novice question, I'm level 0 in mechanic) as we don't see them much in this place I wondered if there was something (electronics, airbag sensor or anything) that would people avoid this place, or that it could be bad for airflow, etc..

Im not sure what you mean by on top of the bumper but this is what I did with a 42" bar and it is "on top of my bumper".
