Need help asap truck wont start maybe anti theft?

Truck cranks but no start
Gave truck TO FIL because I an shipping to another state
He went to move it and didn't know how to put the key in I guess and used his finger maybe idk.... truck alarm was going off and he didn't know how to get it to stop and eventually it stopped
He figured out later how to start it went to try and crank it only cranks no start
I just drove it to him 2 days ago and drove and started fine...

Maybe disconnect the battery for a while and try again?

does he have the fob with him?
Could the fob be dead?
get out truck, lock it, then unlock it and get back in and try again?

Yes key locks unlocks and panic button works

2014 ram 1500 5.7 it's a regular key you put into the ignition just the plastic kind of key.

Headed down there to try this and couple other things.... hour there and back and have **** to do before I move tomorrow
