I've got 7ft paddleboards and a 6 ft box... There's a joke there somewhere.

Seriously though. I'm looking at options for hauling these around come summer. I just put the hard folding tonneau cover on. I'm wondering if this tonneau cover is tough enough to strap a light load onto with sufficient padding?

I've seen some trucks with a roof rack style setup on the box and I may end up going that route.

What do you do?

if it's folding, why not put them in box, and sticking out little. Just secure them?

I have oem tri-folding hard cover. I'm often putting things in back that are longer.
I just use some ratchet straps I purchased from Canadian Tire. They were cheap and work very well.

Still in the market for new but I was wondering the same thing about a kayak in the bed of whatever I bought. I saw these L shaped brackets you can hook to the hitch receptacle that would support the end of the kayak extending out from the back of the bed. Sounds to me with your tailgate down you wouldn't even need it.

i just leave my last section of trifold loose and have the SUP stick out. I'm not driving far or on a major road so I'm not concerned with strapping it down.
