been looking at these myself, sure look nice, wondering if they are high quality or junk too.

Also wonder if you can use HID's with out melting them ?

I have Spyder HID's ..... install was a nightmare for me, mind you I had absolutely no clue how to do the install when I got them. In fact I think I ordered the ones you are looking at, and they accidentally sent me the ones I have. I didn't want to get involved with the installation of HID's at all. Had a minor issue with a headlight going out, but it was a bad ground. I haven't had any issues since, and I do love the look of them.

I have those lights but haven't installed them yet. I had the 2 halos replaced to RGB so the install should be easier then normal for me

I heard the projectors are not always lined up or are tilted a bit.

I had a pair a year back. They are great looking lights. Only problem is output. For me they didn't have enough nighttime output. But great looking lights for sure.

I was wondering about how bright they would be too , so did you go with something different ? I just want the brightest I can get because I drive out west Texas a lot at night and the factory ones suck at lightning up the ditches

Yes I ended up getting a set of projectors from Jeremy at retro shop. Not cheap but output and look is great.

I like the look of the Spyder lights but also keep hearing stories about output, but are they any worse than stock non-projector halos, which also have terrible output? I'd be willing to entertain other brands that have a similar look, I just do not want to bother with HID

I have them. No install issues and no issues with the housings themselves.

Allways the pics in front of the car. (and of course with fogs on)

How are you driving? Make pics before and after upgrade. But from your seat :)

It is the same with led retrofit. They are allways bright, but only when you look in. The output is horrible.

Thank you. I HAD to get the black ones to blend in... Looks smooth and clean.

As far as the light bar, I drilled it down through the bumper and then down through the metal frame underneath. Took some lock washers and nuts and tightened it down just enough where it didn't pull down on the plastic bumper enough but was still secure. Also put a bunch of washers inside to prevent flexing of the bumper. Wired it to a relay(instructions came with the bar) and to a toggle switch on my dash.

Is that what you were asking?

I'm running a set of these on my 15 1500. With the halogen bulbs they came with, the output was not so good, but I installed a set off DDM Tuning hids. The light output was significantly better after a little adjustment. This picture is from before my lift. I'll get a picture of the light output and cut off if you want. IMG_0651.JPG
