Just so you know, XeMODEX has increased their price it is now $399+shipping for repair.
I asked XeMODeX about the price increase and was told that it is due to the skyrocketing price of driver chips that must be replaced in the repair.

will be sending mine to xemodex also. In my case, ABS failure locked my rotary shifter in park.
Glad to see it worked out for you.
Had my truck picked up from dealership via AAA tow.
But not before they tried to extort $700.00 out of me.(which of course I did not pay since they only diagnosed my truck, which was $180.00.)
Had my truck at the dealer since Jannuary and been told end of march, then april 17 and then no ETA.Insane!!
Dealership itself, no call backs / customer service.
Ram Care....what a joke.
FCA ....same thing.

Anyway, your experience was the final push for me, to go with the rebuild.

Thanks for all your detailed posts.

Glad to help, Thomas. Everything I have read on this matter says about the same thing, that FCA keeps saying that the modules are being "re-engineered" and will be out on (date). But when that date comes and no modules are available, FCA gives the same story with a new date down the road someplace.

XeMODeX is top notch in work and customer service. When you ship your module, be sure that the shipping label and three signed copies of the invoice (they will provide those after you buy their service) are in a blister pouch on the outside of the shipping box. The UPS rep will, or should, know that.

I sure will follow the shipping instructions.
Wanted to ask you one more thing.
Once you installed the rebuild xemodex module, did all the lights (ABS,traction control.....) go away instantly?

Be SURE you use a blister pouch on the outside of the package and include three copies of the commercial invoice inside it. If you don't, you'll have the nightmare I've just been through.
I sure hope this works for you, I have been trying to get RAM to provide the ABS module and the HCU module since last August. Are their parts guaranteed? thanks.

I sent mine on a Friday. They are closed Sat and Sunday.Rebuild it on Monday and arrived Tuesday 10.00 am at my house.Installed today (Thursday).I AM BACK ON THE ROAD. XEMODEX is AWESOME!!!!!
They have a lifetime warrany. Paid $399.00 for rebuilt and $70.00 for express shipping.
My own labor, 30 minutes to remove, 30 minutes to install .
Been at the dealer for 5 months with no result. Wish I would have known earlier, there is an altenate (BETTER) way.
All the lights 9traction control, brake...and others dissapeared immediatley.Check engine light was still on.
Thought 2018 and up you cant clear with OBD2.
Have an old innova obd2 (maybe 15 years old) plugged it in and cleared .
No more lights.
Early Christmas for me.
I can only highly recommend them.
They also have outstanding customer service, unlike the Dealership, RAMCARE and FCA headquarters.
Go for it !!

Do it right and follow these instructions, screw Steeeeler.

FCA has been singing that same "engineering review" song for the last couple of years. I had my module repaired by XeMODEX for $200 plus expedited shipping. They're in Canada so you need to fill out customs forms and put them in a blister pouch along with the invoice on the outside of the parcel. Module Master in Moscow, Idaho also does rebuilds for like $130 or so.

There are some other companies that will do a rebuild also, but their prices vary.
