Push button start, truck won't shut off
This is a common problem on the new Darts. There's a microswitch that should make contact when you shift to park. After hundreds of on/offs it gets wonky. The solution is to cut the wires to that microswitch and solder them together. Works on the Darts, hopefully the same for Rams with a console...- alpinegreenneon

The unwanted step child car.
My son has a Crossfire and is quite happy with it. It's his summer car and he bought it used several years ago. We have done a few things which one would expect with over 70,000 miles. I bought this years ago when I had my 2003 Dakota. It's a vibration damper installer tool for the 4.7 and 5.7 engines. It' new in the original plastic bag with the forcing lubricant. Mopar Essential Tools wants a lot more than I paid for it. It's yours for $75. PM if interested...- alpinegreenneon

Leaking pinion seal
My 2018 Ram 1500 with only 24,000 miles has developed a pinion seal leak. I have done a pinion seal on my 2003 Dakota. I have the FSM and I see that the pinion nut is staked. Exactly what socket do I need to remove that pinion nut. It has 12 points and all my sockets are 6 point.- alpinegreenneon

Simple Brass Key
