Ok this one definitely bears asking a few questions. First - is it a misprint? If not, is it the original powertrain? I sure hope so. What do you use for oil?

Thanks,

Joe

Love my 2015 1500 Laramie with 102k miles.

Believe my truck issue is an outlier. At 82K engine blew. FCA said piston rod came apart, blew hole threw cylinder wall. FCA installed new engine and gave me a rental for the five weeks truck was in their shop. I was only out the inconvenience of the ordeal.

Apart from that burp, GREAT truck. Even if the engine had not blown, I wouldn't get rid of this truck based on everything else.

Hey Kalbo - just wondering did you have an extended warranty? Seems like FCA did pretty good by you.

Thanks,

Joe

2011 Sport Quad Cab. 212,855 and still going. Cam & lifter change at 186,000 with new radiator. Just replaced the original water pump last week. Other that normal maintenance, still going strong.

2014 1500 tradesman, bought used 106K (ex-fleet vehicle) last Oct, now has 114K
(I have a 100 mile round trip commute)

Both rear manifold bolts on both sides of motor are broken, has a little start up chatter and the dreaded warm idle hemi tick
Had to replace water pump and thermostat shortly after I bought it

But I still LOVE this truck and plan on LT headers with custom exhaust and Greene cam, new lifters etc
Hell why not!

Just turned 35k on my 2018 4x4 Hemi, no issues. Driven since June, 2018...still new.

My 2016 4x2 Hemi got up to 60k without problems except the OEM tires crapping out early on. Traded because I needed the 4x4.

I've noticed the 2018 drives better. Granted, 4x4 and 3.92 gears make a lot of difference in drive experience but all over the 2018 truck has been better. Passengers comment same.

Appreciate the thread here in contrast to pushing through all the catastrophic reports which are typical on forums...and also helpful for being mindful on what to watch.

Wow sounds like a lot of people have had good luck with the Rams, me not so much. I currently have 75000 miles on mine and everything has broke, i dont off road, just basic point a to b. More than likely I just got a lemon of the bunch but I regret getting the ram. Not to mention the people at the dealership never seem to care and have always been unpleasant to work with. My experience I’ll never buy Chrysler product ever again.

I have a 2013 sport with 126000 miles. At 103,000 Miles the cams and lifters were replaced free out of warranty. At 105,000 discovered the crank was ruined because of the metal particles that went down in this motor. Dodge replace my long block free at Decatur Dodge in Alabama. If they had not have done that I would not buy another one. Just saying. Careful.

So I'm just wondering how my 2015 1500 is going to hold up over time. I plan on keeping it till it's done. Right now I have 83,000 miles on her and she's running great. How bout you?

Thanks,

Joe

2018 bought 4/18 86,000 miles.

2011 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi Big Horn. I have 163K miles on it at the moment. I have had minimal issues. Unfortunately mine was plagued with the lifter issue already covered extensively on here with this trucks year group. Fortunately for me it was covered under warranty.

friend of mine has a '15. Has 193K and running strong. Two sets of brakes, one water pump and that is it. It is a 5.7L syn oil oil changed every 5000 miles regardless of when it was last done. So maybe you'll have the same, hopefully. cheers
