I've owned my 2011 Ram 3500 Laramie package for about 2 months now. I'm having an issue with the seats. I would like to know if anyone else has this same problem/complaint. Concerning the top half or so of the backrest... it has that contouring effect that makes the outside few inches of each side of the backrest angle forward. These 'wings' as I call them, push on the back of my shoulders (kind of on the outer edge of my sholder blades too). For about 20 to 30 min, its fine, but if I take a several hour drive, it becomes very uncomforitable. I actually have to lean forward away from the backrest every so often to give the backs of my shoulders a break from the constant pressure these 'wings' apply. In a way, they make you sit with your shoulders shrugged forward. I don't know... to me it's crazy, I have owned 12 trucks over my years (be it mostly Fords, one chevy), this is the first time I have had issues with a backrest. All my other truck seats have had flat backrests. My Dad has an '11 2500 Ram SLT, his backrests are nice and flat across the top where your (or at least my) shoulders go, soo much more comforitable than these Laramie seats...in my opinion anyway. I think I am going to have to see if I can change my Laramie backrests over to SLT backrests. I just took a 350 mile drive last week, and by the time I got there, my one shoulder was actually becoming sore from the pressure. Does anyone else have this problem?
