Thanks guys! This truck is truly amazing, I can't wait to really get it offroad!

They never made a rcsb wagon, just a rclb which is not available anymore with the 4th gens.

Really? That's kick ass! I wonder how that works?!?!?!?

its the same "smart bar" used on wrangler rubicons.
2 things - they dont like water & they're about $1800 to replace if you smash or drown one.

BUT there are fixes, off road evolution has a manual conversion for it that replaces the PC board and electric motor with a thumb screw.
Yeah you have to get out, but it doesnt fry and cause computer problems if you dunk it too many times!
I did a computer over ride for mine on the Jeep and essentially hot wired the electric motor to get it working again.
There's a massive controller card inside there with several processors and the actuation itself is - ok get ready...

an electric motor turning a set of planetary gears with a clock spring attached to turn a worm gear screw drive to push a spring piston to move the actuator button that actually disengages the collar on the 2 piece bar and is held in the unlocked position by a magnetic lock.

Here's a video I did showing more about it

bypassing the electro crap on a Jeep JK sway bar on Vimeo

Lol

Exactly!
Over engineered much ya think?

The end result of all that circuitry and crazy mechanical contraption is to push the big button on the locking collar about 1/8".

That's all.

Lots of fancy electronics! I need to get off my ass and get some dielectric grease in the connection to prevent water from doing too much damage.

It moves pretty damn good considering it weighs 7000 lbs! It's certainly not as quick as my 2010 1500 2wd but it's no slouch either.

That thing is awesome! I love power wagons. I don't remember where, but I saw a while back on one of the forums a guy that cut one in half to make a RCSB
