Starter Issues

Is it just me or are there problems with 3rd gen staters? I have had my truck little over 7 years and I think I am on my 5th starter. I have bought high quality staters and my first one was OEM

Did you search for similar issues on this forum. Generally problems appear much more frequently than accolades. It has been years since I replaced a starter, but I remember if it wasn't shimmed correctly it would cause problems. What exactly is your problem? Gears wearing out? Motor burning out?

Nothing sinilar to my issues. Just clicks. Starter is 6 months old
