Why cant I get the Headlight to come out of 2013 Ram 1500 ?

Check out YouTube really easy! Btw: I never pull the grill! I have a 10mm magnet socket with a long extension to get the bottom bolt!

I ended up taking the grill off and the headlight came right out.

I also used a long extension in an attempt to take them out without removing the grill and it did not work .i believe the problem was that the bolt that I used the long extension on would not come out of its hole as I did not have a magnetic socket and the bolt just kept on spinning even though I could tell that the threads were not engaged in the hole.

I think that if I had a magnetic socket or a magnetic bolt retriever that the bolt would have pulled right out .

In any event there were no issues at all just removing the grill and removing the headlights.

I've had mine off a few times already and just find it much easier to remove the grill, both bolts on the housings, push up on the release, and then push on the back lower outside corner of the housings through the wheel well opening.

Try it once and you won't waste time trying to pull it from the front side again.

And prying the housings with a screw driver is silly and unnecessary unless you want souvenirs.
