VVT Solenoid keeps going bad
The single most important thing to consider in these is oil. [I'll get to that] But my first question would be how often do you change your oil?? Does it "Loosely" coincide with your "VVT issues"?? Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid / Actuator
Yes, first remove the bolt that holds them down - then rap the tops of the solenoids with a rubber mallet a few times. Don't even bother trying try to twist them out by twisting the solenoid body. They snap off very easily. Instead, grip a pair of vice grips onto the TAB at the base and work...- VVTRAM
