Last weekend my wife and I took a day trip to northern Wisconsin to look at some land. I pulled into what looked like a graded drive but turned out to be either super soft dirt or brownish sand.
I immediately lost steering when I hit the sand and stopped the truck. I was debating going further but when I opened the door and saw the tires were sunk in the dirt, I decided to back out.
The trouble at that point was the truck was just spinning and sinking lower when in reverse. My wife and I looked at each other, thinking okay how do we get out of this (other than collecting and laying down branches).
Answer: Put the truck in 4WD Low and power rock it out of there. The front tires left divots about a foot and a half deep (stock tires).
No fuss, didn't have to get dirty trudging thru the woods and worrying about ticks.
I really like this truck.
