For the guys who think deactivating the mds via a tune is a good idea

I don't see how you can have it both ways. You can't say for instance that disabling MDS is the cause of the failure due to poor oiling pressure... and then at the same time say that idle time doesn't matter. Idling has the lowest oil pressure from the pump, and MDS is not active. Driving...

    Drivers seat belt not recognized

Connect the two ends of the seatbelt connector together with a 470 ohm resistor. That will simulate the seat belt being buckled in the event your reed switch in the buckle failed. Try that and let me know See more info here...

How to Bypass (Trick) Seat Belt Switch

I haven’t tried that one before. There are two issues here though, and the fix depends ultimately on what someone is trying to accomplish. Silencing the buzzer is fine if you just want to drive (with doors closed) and no seatbelt on. However, in my case I want to drive with the door open...

How to Bypass (Trick) Seat Belt Switch

In your case if you don't want to bypass: Simply put belt on, turn key on, wait till everything boots up in the cluster then Unbuckle and buckle three times while finishing with it buckled. Turn ignition off and you should hear a chime. No more belt alert.

It is fine to use that... These people all complaining about MDS shutting down the oil pressure to their lifters and causing issues don't make any sense when you listen to their argument. When the truck is running, there is plenty of oil pressure (not to mention oil splashing) to sufficiently...

How much oil is too much in the 5.7l hemi

I have ran mine almost an inch over full before and never sweated it. I run my truck hard too. Foaming issues are not really a thing anymore, I would rather have too much oil than not enough. Typically I'm anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 over the mark.

Oh, so if I do that I won’t have cam and lifter failure?!?! Wait a minute… doesn’t this mean you are making it look like a factory non-MDS engine? Don’t those also have cam and lifter issues? Oh they do? So that makes this proper because…

For the guys who think deactivating the mds via a tune is a good idea

You’re missing the point of my post, let me try again. I agree, my results are irrelevant… it’s a sample size of 1 compared to the million of engines out there. I’m saying there is no such thing as a “proper delete”. ALL Hemi engines have had some amount of cam/lifter failure, and I see no...

For the guys who think deactivating the mds via a tune is a good idea

So many people keep using this buzz word of “proper delete”… and seem to completely disregard the fact that factory non-MDS engines also suffer from cam/lifter failure. The issue with cam/lifter failure is therefore not tied to MDS activation or a lack of oil from MDS never turning on...

How to Bypass (Trick) Seat Belt Switch

Awesome! If I cared more I could have tested the high and low values to see what the limits were, but I'm glad it worked out. :)

FWIW, I’m at 102k, last 50k have been without MDS via a tune, and before that I was disabling with the steering wheel buttons.

Every thread I see you in you are either pitching your paddle shifters or this video (or both). Starting to think you made the video yourself and are using the forum to generate YouTube income. :) Like @ramffml... I have been MDS free for miles and if it was a design issue as prevalent as all...

For the guys who think deactivating the mds via a tune is a good idea

50,000 miles on my truck without MDS being active and my engine is as quiet as a church mouse. I change my oil every 3,000 miles and make sure the level is at the top and if it happens to be a little over that's fine too. I know there are a million theories on why these lifters might fail, and...

Exhaust Drone Fixed! Spoiler Alert another 3.21 vs 3.92 discussion

There is a time and a place for opinions, and they begin with such things like… “I think that….” Or “I could be wrong but…” or “I was under the assumption…” To make a statement such as yours that’s factually incorrect is damaging to the community at large. Contact GDE, or any other tuning...

Exhaust Drone Fixed! Spoiler Alert another 3.21 vs 3.92 discussion

You’re talking nonsense. You keep saying recalibrate but that’s not a thing. Take the software from a 3.92 factory truck and a 3.21 factory truck and they are identical. The transmission code is EXACTLY the same between the two. And I couldn’t care less about turning it back to stock. This...
