    It's a bit hard to access, but if you move the seat all the way up, front and back, you should be able to get to it. It's held in by 4 screws.

    Any update on this? The horn button, along with all the other controls on the steering wheel, go through the right switch assy. Then the right switch assy converts all the signals and sends them out on a LIN bus line to the clock spring. The clock spring takes the LIN bus commands and converts...

    I installed an 8.4 in my SLT and have been getting this message on an intermittent, but consistent basis. Is it because the VIN hasn't been set in the radio? I have the 3G dongle from M2 Mods installed. How can I turn it off?

    Job done. I actually upgraded the dash wiring harness, which included the heated seat support. The existing harness already has the connectors for both ends of the adjustable pedals. I have since added memory seats, wired the connection to the drivers door, for the mirror memory, and the 7 wires...

    17 Laramie door harness swap to 17 tradesmen

    The wiring harness isn't necessary, unless you want to activate the lights in the door panel. It's wired off 2 connectors that are in the harness on the laramie, but not in the Tradesman. I didn't have the harness's, so I had to make my own addition to the harness to make the lights work.

    Horn & Audio Controls Not Working, NOT Clock Spring issue! PLEASE HELP!

    I Know this is an old thread, but I did find out that the left controls, the horn, the audio controls on the back of the steering wheel go through the right button assy. They are then mux'd out of the right switch assy on a lin bus wire.

    Steering wheel controls on the left side 2020 1500

    The controls are all muxed. Everything on the steering wheel goes thru the right switch assy. It's then muxed out on a LIN bus to the clock spring. That's why you have a slight delay when hitting the horn.
