I once had a quack of a doctor make a mistake in my diagnosis over the course of a few weeks when I fell ill. I was 20 years old, and withered down almost 80 pounds and I could barely walk/stand. His mistake nearly cost me my life. I never went back to that doctor. The doctor who DID figure out what was wrong did so in literally 5 minutes of a physical exam and subsequent blood work done that day. He was worried about my surviving because my "simple" illness had progressed to the point of being very critical. I was out of work for weeks and didn't regain strength for 2 years.

Find a competent mechanic while you DON'T need one.

I had one of those doctors in my early 20s. I lost down to near 100 lbs., having panic attacks, weak and sick. I called him my "Duck Doctor", because he was a quack.

It took a while, but I did get straightened out, and I found another doctor.

Man that sucks. I do have a good mechanic but this is warranty stuff so not much you can do.

I am blissfully ignorant. I rarely check my engine oil levels. But I only have 10k miles on my truck so far. I am going to start to watch mine more closely. So what is the endgame on this issue. Replace the injectors or the whole engine?

Last Dealer visit.. New CCV filter, new DPF, and changed the oil. They wanted to run a fuel consumption test..... well sorry it's not consuming oil it's gaining fluid lmao. Since Feb 1 I've drove 496mile per their instructions. I've had 4 regen cycles and well guess what the oil went up again.......... goes into the dealer tomorrow morning I'll know more this week. They keep ignoring that I have fuel in my oil and act like it's no big deal... this is the second time they have instructed me to drive 500-1000 miles.

I did pull my turbo intake to see what it looks like. It's been eating some oil for sure...

Here is a video I just made. Clanking sound that batteries were supposed to fix.

I'm sorry to hear this and I did not realize they made you replace batteries  I wonder if they even did a proper load test on them or just pulled that idea out of there @ss... I also can not understand how they can not understand that your oil is growing not shrinking as your oil dip stick shows in your many photos.... I took mine on a 425+ mile trip today but got back after dark due to a wreck on the freeway so will check the oil tomorrow when I fill up an hope its not really over full like yours. Anyway hope things get better but then I know a few of the yahoos your dealing with....

Yeah it should be coming to an end now. Motor won't last much longer I don't think. I am dealing with the same place you are lmao, just tell them not to turn your truck into mine and actually fix stuff vs just throwing parts at it.

I sure admire Dinky’s attitude. He seems somewhat amused at the dealer. Others would be flipping out and gnashing teeth.

Oh I've lost my cool a few times with the dealer. I am still mad but it has turn amusing once it came to the point of no return. Might has well give the dealer all the rope they need.

Here's a photo of my dip stick after sitting 90 minutes or so, it shows that the oil has increased in the 1600 miles since the oil was changed in Oct but nothing like yours and to me the growth rate is slower this oil change then the last one, the only difference is this time they installed my oil, Amsoil 5w40 ADO an not there Rotella T-6 5w40 that IMHO fell flat on its face last go round per UOA...

I would keep an eye on it. How frequent are your regens? Keep doing oil test, try to figure out miles per fuel added.

My last regen that I saw was about 580 miles ago, yesterday I put about 425 mile on the truck, I believe the last regen was an 24 hour auto regen and not DPF full regen as had noticed a short time before it went in to regen the DPF gauge had showed approx. 1/4 full..

I can say I was surprised at how good the fuel mileage for a truck whose weight is just under 11K driving in to the wind going east then on the return trip a good 60 minutes of stop start for the wreck near Bridal Veil, the traffic was backed up for a good 5 miles east of Multnomah Falls...

Yeah there is a lot going on with the regen stuff. I think they were trying to figure mine out by replacing will all the new updated parts. My regen issue I think Is coming from fuel in my oil, after seeing what my turbo looked like.

They didn't care one bit. They completely ignored the fact I had diesel in my oil. They instructed me to drive another 500-1000 miles again lol. Guess what more diesel in the oil lmao.

This is the latest oil sample, ran for 500miles on a fresh oil change.... the dealer also over filled my oil so the % is not right for normal oil level to start.Screenshot_20240206_174118_Acrobat for Samsung.jpg

6.7% fuel at 500 miles is outrageous. That thing is ****** fuel.

If it were mine, nope. New truck please.
