My hitch comes out of the reciever whenever I swap for the different sized balls, one of them is usually always in the hitch.
It works real good for the idiots that like to park by feel.

They are right grease collects dirt, ues a dry grease like they use on garage doors a spray that drys and gives you a dry film. Good Luck

I was an RV chassis mechanic some time ago. I still have scars on my head from walking around the back of the rig and into the hitch. Just remove the darned thing already.

That's why I keep a step in my receiver if I am not pulling and the ball hitch otherwise. Living in a college town, someone is almost always 1/4 to 1/2 a car length on your b*tt even with snow/ice covered roads. Wisdowm comes with age and there are a lot that don't have any...
I want one of those medieval war club hitches to keep people off my butt. I will spray it orange so it can't be missed.
