Looking for insight into the process of buying wheels and tires. I'm looking to buy a set of Black Rhino Arsenals with BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2s. My local shop soesn't stock those wheels, but does have the tires.

Should I go and buy the wheels and then just have my local tire shop do the tires and then have them install everything?

TireRack.com sells the set mounted, balanced, with TPMS for $3322.01. Are they a good seller? Where else should I look?

Finally, they are offered in a +12mm version and a -18mm offset. I'm having trouble picturing these. Can anyone provide guidance on which one I'd want? I'm looking for more aggressive look.

If you want to buy rims and tires, Tirerack allows you to view many reviews do you can see what people like and don't care for. This would help you find the fit for your needs (monster mudders, road tires that are not noisy, combination). Once you find what you like you can see if something similar is available locally. Costco sells tires and rims and has their guarantee in case you don't like them.

Try these guys, I've had good luck with them

They are out of Ohio, and they mount and balance the tires before shipping them out

Go to the custom offsets web site. Wheels and tires mounted balanced and shipped to your door. You can get lugs and tpms sensors as well. One stop shopping

I know this is a bit old, but I agree with someone above that said custom offsets. They have a lot of videos on YouTube and I have purchased from them twice. They have all kinds of pics...you can put in your vehicle and see wheels and tires that you want and see how they fit. If they rub, how far they stick out. They have been nothing but amazing both times I bought from them.

OK so last week I decided to go with Fuel Beasts and Nitto Trail Grapplers 35x12.5x17 and I went with Custom Offsets on 4/26. Not only did they have the lowest price (still holy cow was that expensive) but they had the reputation that I was looking for. They gave me an anticipated shipping date of May 15, which I was perfectly happy with as I didn't need to have them earlier. Lo and behold I get a call yesterday (5/7) from the freight carrier that they have my delivery that day! I received them and looked them over last night and I have to say I'm impressed. They were packaged really well, well protected, and delivered right to my garage! So woohoo for Custom Offsets for exceeding expectations!

I'm working on that- they'll be put on this weekend when I have some free time and pics will come then.

But if you're asking about the actual packaging, they were in a stack, individually wrapped and then wrapped as a unit, with a foam pad and cardboard inbetween each wheel. I was really impressed with how far they went to make sure everything arrived intact and without damage.
