2023 Laramie-was hit in a parking lot and tail light busted. Too disgusted by the price of a tail light to fix it right away but after two weeks of heavy rain it got wet and turn signal started intermittently going out and the dash gave a warning that it was out and the working front lights flashed faster. I ordered a used oem replacement on eBay (same part number as mine). Replaced and it works fine, but dash still flashes the warning that the tail light is out and the front mirror signal and dash signal flashes fast (even though the actual tail light flashes at normal speed). Is there a reset somewhere to get this warning to go away? It's coming on every 10-15 minutes and this replacement light is working just fine so I don't get it. Also all lights flash at the right speed for emergency flashers

Maybe have somebody step on the brake pedal, and turn on the signals, while you watch the 3rd brake light

For anyone with this same issue. Other than the dash flashing a warning and the dash signal and mirror signal flashing at double speed, everything worked as expected right off the bat. After about 10 stop-start drives and maybe 120 miles, all of the warnings went away and it all seems to be working completely normal. I'm guessing the newer cars are just too smart (or too dumb in my opinion) to allow a normal person to change their own tail light and a dealer could have cleared a warning without requiring so many restarts to clear it. Oh well, all good now and for $80 (ebay) I was able to fix a $600 tail light.

I'll add that this "warning" was nonsense from the beginning and I was not surprised it's a pain to remove. At first it was when I signaled right on the first time of every drive. I thought "that's a cool feature". Then it was just almost every time I signaled in either direction. By the end it was just coming on every 2 minutes, then it would stay off for awhile and then randomly start doing it again even if I hadn't signaled in 10 minutes. Seemed faulty from the beginning.

Nanny trucks and safety and bs stuff at its very best lol.

My truck had cracked right rear tail lens manufacture defect which was replaced under warranty. Neva got any codes and I gorilla glued the cracks till replaced to keep moisture out. I have OEM LED and the lens and whole assembly was $586.00.
