Hello all!

New here, and have listed my specs in the title since I know it will be necessary information for my questions....
I have a 2022 Heartland Pioneer with a dry weight of 4,728 lbs, and a GVWR of 6900 lbs (but not hauling 6900 lbs).
RV tongue weight is 636 without the tanks or battery.
Class III hitch was already installed (I assume factory hitch? the sticker is worn off on it).
I found the chart that seems to say that I can tow up to 8,550 lbs.

The only receiver I can find for the installed hitch is rated for 6000 lbs towing and 600 lbs tongue weight.

Is there a receiver that has a tongue weight rating of more than 600 lbs that I can use for the Class III hitch?
I haven't been able to find anything.

Will I need to get the Class IV hitch installed in order to use a higher weighted receiver, or will a receiver for a Class IV hitch fit/work on my Class III?
I am fairly new to this tow capacity stuff, so feel free to be as detailed as necessary LOL.

Thanks in advance!
Sam

Class 3 hitches have 2-inch receiver sizes, and have a GTW capacity of up to 8,000 lbs. and a TW capacity up to 800 lbs.

As stated above, you're going to need a WDH, and sway control. There's plenty of choices out there, Personally I prefer the 'bars and chains' style with a separate sway control, a lot of guys like the integrated units, some people get spendy and buy a Hensly or an Anderson but most people don't need those.

The towing charts you mention are basically useless. It's essentially a made-up number that you may never hit when pulling an RV, since you'd likely be over your axle ratings and hitch weight to get there with an RV.

The numbers you need to be looking at are your axle weights unloaded, your axle weight ratings (which tells you how much weight you can put on each axle), WET hitch weight (usually figured as approximately 10-15% of the GVWR of the trailer, though it sounds like yours is closer to 20%).
