OE sensor? Our Rams are notoriously picky.

I put 3 different aftermarket sensors in my '02 4.7. All 3 sucked. I've been procrastinating on the OE because I have verified pressure.

It's a amazon switch/sensor whatever lol getting a new one today and a pressure gauge to test it.

My bet is on the cheap sensor. These trucks HATE aftermarket sensors of any kind. OEMs are usually the only ones that will last for any period of time.
wasn't the sensor, so either my pump is f****ed or my o ring to the pickup tube is messed up which i HIGHLY doubt its that, i believe its the pump, got a warranty pump coming, with a mechanical gauge on it was reading 15psi at idle, so still higher then what the switch/sensor was reading but it originally cold started up to 80psi but i have a new pump on the way will update if its the pump or a engine thats toast by this weekend hopefully.....

With good oil pressure cold and low when warm, it might need main bearings. With
the bad cam, crap could have gotten in there. If your going to pull the pan, pull a main
cap and check.

No psi was normal at cold and warm Friday but since tearing it apart and putting new oil in it, it started having low psi at cold which makes me ghink the pump is toast or the bearings, but I'll know this weekend, new oil pump coming and going to start tearing the timing cover off after work. Pump worked for 300mil3s or so but maybe I messed up the o ring on the pickup tube

already did, also tested with mechanical gauge. Soon as I get home I'm gonna start ripping it apart with my claws, and hope it's a messed up o ring on the pickup tube

Good luck.... if it were me, I would go ahead and swap that sensor out for an OEM while I'm doing the work for a little more peace of mind.

When I had oil pressure sensor issues , I installed a new OEM sensor , and at the same time I added a mechanical gauge so that I could see the true pressure while on the road. Pressures all matched each other.

Yeah my pressure was higher on yhe gauge then the sensor, but I'm about to start tearing into the front end and hope it's the o ring messed up.
