2020 ram classic w/hemi. Around 90+mph it acts like there is some sort of fuel shut down until under 85mph. Then everything is good again. It has happened twice now. I had a Saturn Vue that did the same thing. Dealer said it was a bad eprom. Could it be the computer's eprom on the truck?

I don't know if these trucks have a governor, or at what speed that would kick in, but that might be something to look into since it only happens over 90mph

Tuner time if you want to go faster then roughly 105/107 mph.Open up the speed limiter, and the truck will peel your eyes open on how fast it'll actually go.

If the governor/speed limiter is supposed to be 105 MPH, what does that have to do with something happening at 90 MPH? However I would verify that it's not a governor. I would think somebody with a good OBD tool/scanner could plug it in and go for a test ride and read if a governor was kicking in. There could be another issue going on at that speed and the engine is going into some sort of "protect" mode.

If you or someone you know is setup to use AlfaOBD, you can check a few spots.

Has anybody successfully removed or upped the speed limiter, using AlphaOBD? That'd be the cats a$$ if you could up the limiter with-out tuning the trucks.

I prefer my speedo to be precise because sometimes xxxxxxx... demerit points or not.

And, I prefer the DRL menu selectable, even when I haven't yet wanted them off.

My speedo's have been corrected through HP,lol. The DRL's don't bother me,as my days of creeping around back roads after dark with the lights off ended along time ago, lol.
All i wanted was the fogs turned on with high beams,as i've got pretty decent LEDs in all the fogs, including my 300,lol

I especially appreciate my LED running lights on with the high beams while on dark and narrow county roads, I never use them in urban areas.

The Auxito LED high beams light up the trees on the shoulder of the roads but the running lights complete the illumination from the roadway at the truck and across the ditches.

LED lighting is the greatest and most inexpensive upgrade that anyone can make, just ask anyone who's successfully upgraded their lights.

That last comment wasn't for you Rick, I know you're already there.

I still haven't figured out how to disable my headlights without buying a US light selector and changing the country code.

I'll get it eventually so I can go the a drivein movie without P'ing everyone off.

Just for grins try removing air filter and see if it does same thing. A clogged air filter can act like a fuel issue. Still not it I would check your fuel pressure then start with

When it happens, can you drop it down a gear and see if it cuts off at a given speed, or a given RPM?? Wondering out loud here.

Check air filter. Also maybe put some pure gas in it. If you only run fuel with eth blend it can build up a higher % of eth. Or add an additive that helps burn the ethanol. As it take 40 % more eth to get the same hp as only gas.
