Hello everyone, I would like to increase the diesel fuel tank size to either a 52- or 60-gallon size. The website says they are a direct replacement, but I am not replacing I am upgrading. Are there many more parts I need and do I need a recalibration, so the fuel tank reads correctly?

To increase your fuel tank capacity you will need to replace your EXISTING tank, which is why they say it is a direct REPLACEMENT.

If you want extra capacity but want to leave the stock tank in place, you'll need an in-bed or auxiliary tank.

As for recalibration, I don't know what all is involved.

i was thinking about this as my next upgrade as i hate trying to go and get fuel with a 39ft trailer behind me.

im going to assume that since its a direct replacement, the sending unit/pump ect will come out and go into the new one. If thats the case and the depth of the tank isnt deeper then it should read correctly.

just did a quick search, havnt watched the video but heres a install video.

Our camper isn't that big (only 35'), but when I'm pulling it I try to stop at truck stops as they're built for bigger rigs.

yup. thats my only choice really. most times its not bad. some places require me to have some special trucker club card lol. but its next to impossible to get into a standard fuel station unless its like a large sheetz or something.

I don't believe if you replace the tank with the 52 gallon one you would have to do any different calibrating. I just kept my 32 gallon and added a 90 gallon in the back of my truck.
