What are the pros and cons of aftermarket valve covers? Besides appearance, are there any benefits? I've seen some billet aluminum covers that look cool but I don't want something that holds in more heat or prevents proper lubrication or something harmful. I wouldn't mind finding some orange valve covers to match my orange Vararam intake.

You want orange covers buy some Hellcat covers, then you have 2 points to run a catch can from, but if it was me,i'd just paint the original covers orange, and save myself a $1,000 bucks, lol. The cheap billet covers don't have a great rep,so you're looking at well over a $1,000 for good ones

I plan on getting a 6.4 intake but don't think it will be anytime soon. I will probably get headers and a tune before the intake.

Pros: some of them look pretty good
Cons: some of them are warped from the get go; also have to make sure it is made tall enough to clear the taller valves that come with the VVT engines.
