Finished the first wash and wax. Sprayed Bead Maker on wheels and wheels wells. I’ll touch up the windows and then it’s just regular washings and Bead Maker every time after washing.
I thought I was ordering the sheets/strips of non skid cut to fit in the door sills. What came was from WeatherTech and they were molded black plastic with the stickems on it to hold them in place. I never know how far I’m off with those because the forward end always rises a bit. Anywhos did what I could placing them, they are installed look nice and will serve a good purpose!:) of course I could not find any OEM on the Ram online parts so this is what I ended up with. On my Tundras they were just sheets like thicker than average rubber/plastic but these are nice and fit like a glove and doors shut right fine:) those were the side steps I put on.View attachment 548333View attachment 548334

No not handy you can look for WeatherTech or type in door sill protectors. There are like three different types out there. The non skid type in a couple different flavors and the Weather Techs that are molded to fit the Ram. They are nice and serve the purpose quite good.
I think I found them on American Truck but not sure???
Found it,,,,,,,,here you go

Got to looking at the screen and what a mess with all the finger prints on it. Looked around and ordered a screen protector. If it works like the one on the phone I’ll be happy.
Then those dang door latch covers popped up and I had them on the Tundras and Camaro so,,,,,, they were cheap enough and I bought a set of four that are black. :)

8/15 I have the screen saver on, I did it in the garage with all the lights on and a bright flashlight. It looks good now but who knows when I get it out of the garage??? HA :). Did not even test it, I just wanted it on there without any air bubbles in there. Just another thing off the list and another mod for the truck. Bedstep and the door latch covers to go and that will be it. (Famous last words!) :)
Oh ya black lug nuts….

The first week washed er down and waxed with Nu Finish. Second week today gave er a bath and put the first coat of Bead Maker on er. Slick as butter!, things just slide off. This will be the routine from now on, gets a bath and wipe down with Bead Maker. It’ll always look good and it is easy to clean if it ever gets really dirty. :)

And here I am with my truck, having taken a hose and rag to it maybe 3 or 4 times in the past 17 months and run it through a carwash twice. I wipe the inside down, though, every couple months because that's where I sit.

I took my 5th Gen, to buy a new one. Found out Ram has priced me out. A new one equipped like my Bighorn is now a Laramie and my truck isn't worth any more than a beat down Kia Forte. Thought it was a fluke. After the 3rd dealer I realized it wasn't. Luckily I'm not in the hole and have a little equity. I guess I missed when they announced brand loyalty was no longer rewarded and appreciated. Little chapped about it.

That sucks.

I actual had my local dealer offer to buy my Ram and or our Durango for top dollar. He has people who want the HEMI, but don’t to to spend the $$$ on a new one.

Our Rango is a 22 with 21K miles. The Ram is a 24, less than 5K on it. But we are happy with both, so we aren’t selling.

Trust me...that's exactly how I felt too. I was going to order from the place that did the install...they wanted almost $60 more per tire! I had Tire Rack ship them directly to them, and just paid them for the install.

The door latch protectors came in and they did not fit correctly. I looked at a few others on line and none of them looked like they fit the way I would like them too. Door latch protectors are off the list. They were just another trinket, a black piece to take up some of all that white on an opened door. HA!! :)

Mine didn’t fit well using the double sided tape, so I removed the tape and stuck them on with silicone adhesive.
