Trailer electrical issue
After taking g a look at it (first time in daylight) its a "tilt" style trailer. So the connection where it hinges is rusty. Cleaned and painted for good measure but did like y'all suggested and ran a dedicated ground from the lights to the connector. Problem solved. Thanks for the ideas.- FF376

So my son bought an older boat and trailer and has replaced the wiring. It has the flat 4 no brake set up (Jon boat) . new lights and completed wiring kit. The lights and wiring have the "white" ground wire to the trailer frame. Cleaned off paint and ring terminated each to the frame. Only side...- FF376

Help! Can’t decide how to upgrade
My 2018 6.4 w/3:73 gears gets about 15mpg in mixed daily driving. It tows 8k or so just fine but then mileage falls off a cliff... Diesel issues
Update: replaced the actuator with a Cummins one and a Snap On scanner was able to calibrate it. Been a few hundred miles and good so far. City Diesel was backordered... Thanks- FF376

Low cost tires
I had a set of the same Iron mans on my 2nd gen for the same reasons. Did great for the three years or so I ran them till my son took over driving and replaced the wheel tire combo for something else. -

My buddies shop sells a lot of the Cooper AT3's and several folks I know run them and are pleased with how they do for VA snow plus the other 360 days a year its not snowing..... FYI studded tires are only permitted in VA from Oct to like March according to VA code...- FF376

Help me choose which truck
I'm in agreement on the deleted truck. No telling what the future holds for mods. I want the "stockest" truck I can get unless I know it well. I love white but for me the "blacked out" look is not my cup of tea. Black and chrome is timeless and will always be in style...- FF376

2018 2500 6.4 4x4 club cab short bed Tradesman. Equipped with Snow Chief package (kinda weird for VA but whatever) Stone cold stock still using the Trans force 18" tires and 30K miles. Headlight weird issue
Update. Clock spring did not fix the lights. Did fix the rotational noise... Pulled the multi function switch and the connector had cracked and the purple /white wire was loose. Made some repairs to the connections and replaced the switch since it was out anyway and all is well- FF376

Headlight weird issue
So my sons 2nd gen (97) lost its low beam lights. Highs still worked. Checked the normal fuses and stuff and all good. If I moved the tilt column up they come on...move it down they go off. So pulled the column covers and knee bolster looking for wiring issues. Nothing. Start the wire wiggle...- FF376

Congratulations on the truck! It looked great in the pics. I found Amazon had a bundle deal for the Pennzoil full synthetic and a Molar filter for like $75 bucks which beat the local places.- FF376

My 2018 has the 6.4 and the 3:73 "snow chief" gears. Tows my 5500 lb car trailer perfectly. With the suspension, engine and braking of the 2500 I think you will be happy with it. Buying a newer truck and have some questions
I purchased a 2018 2500 with the 6.4 and tow similar lets say "medium" loads. Big pro for the 2500 in the used market is you are more likely to have one optioned for towing with the brake controls, deeper gears etc. Also, the stronger axles and certainly the bigger brakes help a lot.
