I own an 02 2500 Diesel that I use only for towing. I tow a 10,000lb toy hauler, and an 11,000lb dump trailer. It is bone stock less a built trans I just put in and a BD exhaust brake. Ongoing "TRANS TEMP" issue.
I greatly appreciate your input. And I think that is exactly the problem. Can anyone explain if I can install a switch to lock the converter when I two up this grade?- Tireguy1000

I have an 01 2500 Diesel. I only use it for towing. I tow about 11K (trailer & load weight) downhill from Big Bear into Lucerne Valley every week as I haul off scrap tires.
