That's a really nice truck man! Seems like the only 285/70's that will fit my narrow rims are LT rated and have no treadlife warranty. Will the LT's wear faster?
I'm really leaning toward the 255/80's because they will fit my rim no problem, and come with a 55k mile treadlife warranty. I just...
Well I feel like a dummy. Last time I looked at that size, I swear I thought all those tires said min rim width is 7.5", which is larger than my rim. But after looking again, I see that I could get the Falken wildpeak a/t3w LT285/70 on a 7 inch rim! Thanks!
Do you think a level kit would be...
I have the stock 265/70r17. The wheels are only 7 inches wide. I'm looking at Mopar's website and it doesn't seem like I have many options on larger sizes because of how narrow my wheels are.
Basically, I've narrowed it down to two sizes; 275/70r17 or 255/80r17.
The stock 265/70's are 31.6" x...
Looking to upgrade my exhaust to get a bit of a deeper sound, but I'm not sure of the inlet/outlet size for the muffler. I have the single exhaust. I assume it's 3inch and 3 inch but not 100% sure.
Also, will a flowmaster 40 series muffler give me a deeper sound but not too loud and aggressive...
It came stock with 265/70r17 with a 17x7 wheel and 5x5.5 lug pattern. Also I believe the stock rims have a 25.4 offset.
I plan to do either a 2" level or put bilstein 5100 shocks and set the front at 2.1". Also have been looking at 285/75/r17 which are about 33.86" tall.
I've actually looked at...
I've got the stock 17x7 wheels and am looking to get aftermarket 17" wheels and bigger tires. What aftermarket wheel specs do I need to look for that won't interfere with the brakes or anything else? Also without having to use any spacers. Thanks!
I very rarely take the truck off road, but when I do, it's just around a pond at low speeds. Could experience a little mud here and there, but not much. Also, I do not tow or haul heavy often at all. Maybe the occasional utility trailer but that's all.
Like White six four said, I do want to...
Thanks a lot!
I would definitely let a shop handle it, I'm not up for that task lol.
When I look up 285/75 on mopar's website, it says min rim width is 7.5". You think I'd still be able to use that tire on a 7 inch wide rim?
Gotcha. My 2020 classic came with 17x7 rims stock, so I don't think I have many options for a taller tire because of how narrow the rim is. Or am I wrong?
I spend 95% of the time on the road, so I'd prefer an aggressive look that preforms well on the road.
I apologize in advance for the noob questions.. I have a stock 2020 Ram 1500 Classic but I want the front to be level with the rear. At first, I thought about getting a leveling kit, but the more I read about those, the more I want to stay away from them. I think I will get some Bilstein 5100...
I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Classic completely stock and I'm wondering how large of a tire I can put on. The tires that I currently have on are the stock 265/70R17, but I want some taller tires because I also want to get a 2.5 inch leveling kit and the stock tires already look pretty small. What's a...
