Will iDatalink add features my truck doesn't have with factory stereo?

Dealer can't Flashing computer for trailer brake
I gor a used one from a truck that was wrecked from eBay worked great I flashed it my self with alfaodb and works great the TBCM is not vin controlled from what I can find- nylonguy
