FIX > 2013-18/classic 4th Gen USB Hub ... Battery to Keyed Power (For AA/CP wireless adapter)

This is basically what I ended up doing as well in my 19 classic with Jump seat. So far, no issues.

Not a typical tire question. Load rating/side wall ply questions towing

Imo, you're perfectly fine with a d rated tire. The difference in tread depth is more pronounced between a p and lt rated tire. I'd doubt there's any difference in a d or e rated tire in terms of tread depth (same brand and model tires). A 6200 trailer, you'd have maybe 750-800 lbs max on the...

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Since my battery died the other day, I wanted to take the proper steps to try to prevent it from occuring again. I have a spare battery in the bed of my truck hooked to a winch, that charges off the trailer wiring. It was a straight shot, no relay or isolator. I bought a voltage sensitive relay...

GTR lighting HID VS morimoto HID

The OEM projector is still a halogen based projector and it's optically optimized for halogen. A quality hid bulb optimizes it's center to mimic a halogen, that's why they work well in halogen projectors. HID bulbs do drop off in output and color over time, so it's recommended to replace them...

    Headlight thoughts

H9 mod if you want to stick with halogen. This bulb performed really well, and won't blind anyone. It's slightly whiter than stock, but not led white. Quick modification of the bulb and it fits. Having run all kinds of led bulbs in stock housings, I was not at all disappointed with these...

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Had to buy and install a new battery. OEM was slow to crank a few times, and was getting ready to start looking into finding the best deals. Well, it was dead and forced my hand with an AutoZone AGM.

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

I keep thinking of doing something different as well. I went from the progressive to a black widow 10". The black widow sounded amazing, but the drone was horrible. I swapped that for the magnaflow drop in. I miss the sound of the carven and black widow, the drone with the magnaflow isn't near...

Rear coil question on 2021 1500 Classic Warlock

You're adding weight to the driver side with the bigger fuel tank. You're offsetting that weight with a slightly stiffer spring. I've had both trucks. An outdoorsman and a big horn. My big horn with 1.5" rear spacers and 2" front struts is significantly taller than my outdoorsman, all the way...

Rear coil question on 2021 1500 Classic Warlock

Here are part numbers comparing the rear springs from a 2016 outdoorsman (my old truck) to my current big horn. You'll notice that the outdoorsman and bighorn share a common rear coil. Big horn driver side is used on outdoorsman passenger side. Outdoorsman gets slightly heavier spring on driver...

Rear coil question on 2021 1500 Classic Warlock

The warlock sits the same height as other trucks in the rear, the only difference in ride height is in the front. Ram has a bunch of part numbers for rear springs depending on cab configuration, fuel tank size, payload, etc, but they should be about the same height.

Bought used tires with tpms...not working

I believe 2013 uses the older sensor, so you'd have to physically change the sensor out. 2014+ is the newer style.

Motorola MA1 wireless android auto adapter

It's been several months since I installed this and did the power wire switch. So far, zero issues. Connectivity is still just as quick as day one. It's dropped out maybe once or twice since and that's a maybe. I don't really recall having any major issues. I highly recommend so far if you're...

    Running board mounting problem

The front ones might be used in the manufacturing process to hold the cab or something. But there are kits out there that include the rivnuts and "installation tool". If you get a set of steps, be sure to get a set that attach to both the rocker and the pinch weld. Otherwise, you're looking...

    DRL’s

There are options. You can select no drl if you wanted. But parking lights are not an option unfortunately.

    DRL’s

If the truck didn't have dedicated drls, the connector under the fuse box should have the wiring on one side. It's just a matter of running the leads into the other side of the connector and enabling them via alfaobd.

    DRL’s

In order for the drl to be white, you need a dedicated power wire (either from a key on power source or from the OEM drl wiring). If you set the drl to turn signal, the drl amber during the day, but should light up white at night, as the amber portion is the turn signal. When the low beams are...

Anyone add a LED light bar in grill or aftermarket grill with light bar?

I went with a set of 5" round lights. I had already removed the AGS and I had to removed the deflectors from the grille shell to get them to fit right. But they are mounted in a set of factory tapped holes.

NHTSA Opening Probe for Steering Issues

I It likely had water inside or one of the solder joints is failing. Expect it to go out again. In the mean time, report the issue to nhtsa. The more people who report the issue, the better the chance of getting either an extended warranty on these, reimbursed for out of pocket expenses, or...

2017 1500 More lighting and electrical issues

The harness install is pretty easy, it's just a matter of pulling the blank plugs out of the connector and putting it all back together. There's a thread on it here as well, I wish I would have documented it when I did it, but it's not bad. Should be less than an hour to pull the top of the...

2017 1500 More lighting and electrical issues

I'd enable hid (high intensity discharge) lights via alfaobd to eliminate the pwm so you don't get any possible flickering of the headlights for starters. After that, as long as you enable led settings for every light, front and rear, you should be able to eliminate any and all resistors. In...

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Finally got time and decent enough weather to install my switch panel and ditch lights. I had previously installed the grille lights, but hated the way I had wired it up. The panel lets me add more circuits if needed.

    Form Lighting Headlights

The headlights adjust the same way stock did, except you use a #2 Philips screwdriver. It meshes with the gears. The lights can also be adjusted left/right, but the adjustment is harder to get to.

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Scored a set of OEM black rims and tires (not the plastic cladding) off Facebook marketplace cheap. Guy told me they didn't have sensors in. But a few miles after swapping them on, my truck picked up a set of sensors.

    LED headlights alfaOBD and resistors?

As was mentioned before, enable high intensity discharge headlamps. That will disable the pwm function that is being used and should stop the flicker and ultimately the lamps from shutting down.
