2010 Ram 2500 Fuel HEMI

Hi,

What octane fuel do you guys use? I just got a 2010 Ram 2500 and I am trying to see what octane fuel people use.

Pretty sure most guys are running regular unleaded. Some run midgrade or higher, but most don't see a benefit.

I just wanted to make sure I am not going to wreck the truck by loading fuel grade I am not supposed to. I don't have the owner's manual for it and Google says the recommended fuel octane is 93. Don't want to dump all my faith on Google

Manuals are available free on Ram's website and many dealer's websites. Here's yours:

5.7L calls for 89 recommended, 87 acceptable.

 

[rzr6-4]

recommended fuel octane is 93.

I have run:

unleaded 87 octane
E15 (88 octane)
unleaded 89 octane
and for the controversy slot -- E30 (94 octane)

Granted I don't watch my fuel economy that closely but in terms of how it feels I've never noticed a difference.
