You’re not as knowledgeable as you think you areExhaust gasket, and port match the manifold to it.The port match anybody can do with a die grinder and carbide bit and sanding rolls, but the extrude honing is something you'll have to have done by an outfit that specializes in it.
Extrude honing entails pushing an abrasive median through the manifold under pressure
Runs like dog ****, it has less power then when it was stock. They bent 1 tube from the header because it wouldn’t clear, so 1 exhaust port is struggling. This dyno graph look like **** to anyone else?
For your mods, those are very respectable numbers for an RFE equipped truck. They could tune the SRV a bit more though,as the big dip at roughly 4100 is when the intake is switching from long runners to short runners
Usually HHP has a good rep with tuning, but if you think it's not right you could try another shop specialising in Hemi'sRuns like dog ****, it has less power then when it was stock. This was before they had to bend 1 of the headers to about half the size it was before. Driving it now it’s extremely slow, like zero powerFor your mods, those are very respectable numbers for an RFE equipped truck. They could tune the SRV a bit more though,as the big dip at roughly 4100 is when the intake is switching from long runners to short runners
How much power do you lose by collapsing one of the exhaust header ports to half of its size just to clear the steering colum. They gave me this result, then took the headers back off and bend 1 of them to half of the 1 7/8 size. It’s like 3/4 of a inch and smashed down to half the size and it rubs when I try to turn. Very dangerous and the steering wheel gets hung upUnless they specialize in Mopar tuning alot of dyno shops are in over their head with a hemi. You might want to find a Mopar only shop
It’s rubbing my steering shaft when I turn. Can’t this rob power?
You can’t see well but it’s rubbing and the tube has been smashed in to make it fit
They shouldn't of had to dimple/bend them that much to clear the knuckle on the steering shaft, plus if it's still binding on a corner, they didn't dent the tube in the right spot. Engine Masters did a test a few years ago,and they had to literally flatten a primary tube, before they started to notice a power drop on the dyno,so i wouldn't worry to much about the dent, but i'd be perturbed if they flattened it in the wrong spot, and it still causes issues.Hunt up Bandit post on steering shaft interferance,as he moved the knuckle up on his truck. Some guys use the shaft extension for a body lift to move the knuckle up higher,if you don't like weldingHow much power do you lose by collapsing one of the exhaust header ports to half of its size just to clear the steering colum. Smart enough to know you're in over your head, and really should stop commenting,You’re not as knowledgeable as you think you are
So you don’t think I lost any power? I can tell you max power is 4300 rpm, and it feels SO SLOW. Stock was way way faster. They shouldn't of had to dimple/bend them that much to clear the knuckle on the steering shaft, plus if it's still binding on a corner, they didn't dent the tube in the right spot. Sorry guys I’m freaking out cause I spent 8k and my truck is slower then before, like a lot. My track time would be in the high 15 I’m guessing. It hesitates, goes no where at 3500 rpm. If I don’t punch it, it wont speed up.They shouldn't of had to dimple/bend them that much to clear the knuckle on the steering shaft, plus if it's still binding on a corner, they didn't dent the tube in the right spot. Do you think they did the 6.4 intake install improperly? Or just a really bad tune. There is like zero torqueThey shouldn't of had to dimple/bend them that much to clear the knuckle on the steering shaft, plus if it's still binding on a corner, they didn't dent the tube in the right spot. Not tuning mopar. I would get smoked by a stock 5.7 right now, no way I would be able to keep up with one.Usually HHP has a good rep with tuning, but if you think it's not right you could try another shop specialising in Hemi's
By the pictures it looks like they did a nice job on the intake install, but that's all we can comment on about the manifold install.By the looks of your dyno graph,it appears like the short runner valve is working,so it should of gained some torque down low. When you say "Stage 1 cam" what do you mean, cams are usually listed with lift/duration/lobe seperation angle etc, so saying it's a stage 1 cam doesn't really mean much. You're in Dallas so you're not far away from Matt Fikac at Moes, maybe go see him,and see what he says, maybe he'll line you up with Sean Powell or somebody else to take a look at your tune and see if it's right for your combination. Have you told HHP you're very disappointed in the power the truck is producing,if you're nice about it,they should be willing to take another look at the tune for you.Do you think they did the 6.4 intake install improperly? When I left tonight I told them the steering was rubbing and my steering wheel was not turning without grinding. They said that’s all they can do with the crap headers I brought. They couldn’t get theirs so I bought some crap eBay headers. 1 side fits the only was squashed.By the pictures it looks like they did a nice job on the intake install, but that's all we can comment on about the manifold install.By the looks of your dyno graph,it appears like the short runner valve is working,so it should of gained some torque down low.
