Hello,

Some info to start with:
- 2016 Ram 1500
- 5.7L
- Crew cab
- 6'4" bed
-Vision Korupt 20x9, -12 offset

Parked on a level surface: (I have a photo, need to figure out how to post it)
(1st number is ground to wheel well, 2nd is center of hub to wheel well)
LF: 36 3/8 .... 20 3/4
LR: 38 7/8 .... 23 1/8
RF: 36 1/2 .... 20 3/4
RR: 38 3/4 .... 23 1/4

I'm looking to level my truck, but I don't want to go too high and look bad as I have 1 year old stock size (275/60R20) BFG K03 tires. And no, I'm not selling these to get bigger ones. I got these for half off from a manufacture rebate.
My front struts are completely gone, no oil left and squeeking.....So I'm thinking of replacing is the front struts, upper control arms (not sure if they will be needed), lower control arms.....because I think the cam alignment bolts are seized in the bushings, sway bar links, tie rod ends, and I want to replace the rear shocks and rear coils. (I already replaced both cv axles with long travel ones during the winter as they were making a clicking noise).

My goal is to get it more level than it is, but I'm ok with some rake. I do haul with it occationally and I would like to get a trailer for it soon. That's why I want to replace the rear coils and shocks.
It looks like suspensionlifts.com has some Bilstein 6112 (1.2 or 1.6 setting?) and 5100 (1.4 setting?) kits. But they both have 1 inch lift coils in the rear, I don't know if that will be too much to make the stock tires look bad. (the price of these kits seem to be ok)

Any advice on the height setting of a bilstein kit would be very helpful or even another brand kit to look at.

Is there any place better than suspensionlifts.com to order the kit from? I might just order the rest of the stuff from a local auto part store (easier to return).

let me know if I missed any information
Thank you, James

You could add a couple inches of lift and it would still look fine. 1" will barely be noticeable.

See if @Nick@GotExhaust here can get you what you want. He's been able to offer the lowest prices on my last few projects.

Yea nick will have everything you need at most likely the best price possible.

You dont have to change out the rear coils, could just do the front shocks and rear shocks. But no, another 1” in the back wouldnt look bad imo.

Whatever you go with, i would try to get the rear 3/4-1” higher…otherwise the truck looks like its saggin @$$.

6112s bilstein set @2.0. Fully loaded. Already assembled. 5100s out of the box.

I wouldn't mess with springs in the rear unless your going higher. Springs may wear out but not usually unless you greatly overload them. Now getting a different type of ride different story.

I order my fully loaded 6112s from shock surplus. Nick is a great vendor but shock surplus assembles the 6112s in a complete package. Having a spring almost take your head off changes your prospective. I know

My opinion.

Hi, we are a supporting forum vendor here and can help. We have assisted many members here with their suspension combos and can get you sorted out with a great package. Shoot me a message with how you plan to use the truck, like how much weight and how often you will tow, if you off road and what terrain and speeds.

Thank you guys for the advice.
It sounds like I need to go with a higher setting on the front struts than I was thinking. I do want to replace the rear coil springs and it sounds like the 1" lift will be ok as well. I had mulch and lumber in the bed and felt like the spring were sagging too much for me, and I don't think I was even close to capacity.

Yes, I absolutely want the struts pre assembled. Using a wall mounted spring compressor might be one of the sketchy things to do.

Thanks everyone for suggesting Nick. Nick thank you for your post......I'll try to figure out how to send you a message
