Could you be more wrong? E Torque is an option on the 5.7L and it’s extra. What exactly are you hoping to make future buyers aware of? Issues come up with new vehicles, that's what the warranty is for. There were some failures with the 48v battery system on 2019 models, which is kind of expected with a new design. But that doesn't mean failures won't happen with any system. These are very complex vehicles. Outlier failures will happen. Again, that's what the warranty is for. Ram isn't producing any more 1500's without etorque so if a buyer wants to avoid the system they'll have to buy another brand. I get it, having something fail on a new vehicle sucks. And it seems like you're venting out of frustration. But your truck will get fixed under warranty. And the chances that something else goes bad in the near future are actually very low.
You might want to fact check yourself. Etorque was an option on 2019 thru 2022 models, and did cost extra on 2019 and 2020 models, but starting with 2021 and up there was no extra charge for it. Starting in 2023 you can't get a Hemi without it unless you move up to a 2500.Could you be more wrong? E Torque is an option on the 5.7L and it’s extra.
My 2023 Ram 1500 v6 is experiencing electrical issues, battery Guage goes nuts...and the truck will throw itself into park and it applies the electronic brake (parking brake). It's already had the alternator/generator replaced a month ago. It's back to doing the same thing again.Hi all,
Some of you may have experienced the issue I’m about to bring up, but I also wanted to get this out so future buyers are aware.
I just bought a new ‘23 1500 with the 5.7 Etorque. Check engine light came on and now it (battery) isn’t charging. Voltage just keeps going down. I’m still waiting on the dealer to come get it. Only 2,000 miles on it! I don’t know yet but I’m guessing the generator is faulty.
Thanks

I had this happen, the red terminal wire on the battery was loose.Hi all,

They build these with cheap lead acid batteries. When they start to die, which happens often because of the heavy loads, they have power fluctuations and cause glitches. Sadly, if they replace it under warranty, it will be with another lead acid battery that will also live a short life. The more electronics, the bigger the load, the faster they die. If you plan on keeping it for a long time, get an AGM battery, pop the plug to put in the bigger sized H8 and be done.My 2023 Ram 1500 v6 is experiencing electrical issues, battery Guage goes nuts...and the truck will throw itself into park and it applies the electronic brake (parking brake). I agree that the air suspension was troublesome in 4th gens. But this is a 5th gen forum. Air suspension problems are rare on this generation 1500. Not saying people haven't had issues with it, but reports of issues with it are pretty rare in the Ram forums I regularly go to. The air suspension on our 2020 Limited has been flawless through four winters. It's certain that the system will fail eventually, but the redesigned system on 5th gens seems to be pretty solid.I had the option of e-torque when I ordered my truck. I declined and also air suspension was deleted. Had air ride in my 2017 and it was a night mare.
