21 ram 2500 died after hard stop

Hey guys, after I stopped hard my truck sputters and dies. Now it won't start. Turns over but nothing!!!! Any ideas to start troubleshooting? Thanks for the advice

The fuel was low?

I had a 96 dodge that done that. Ended up being the crank shaft position sensor.

Can you hear the fuel pump prime up when you turn you key to the on position or push the button with out touching the brake?

Possible that it triggered the inertia switch or an emergency fuel supply shut off switch and shut your fuel pump down, if these trucks have them, which they should and may be located on the passenger side wall under the glove box. Others should chime in hopefully to clarify.

• Fiat/ Chrysler recalled some 2021 Ram 1500 vehicles with 5.7L eTorque engines due to a software issue in the powertrain control module that could cause the engine to stall.

2021 Ram :
There is no old fashioned, re-settable rollover/inertia switch. The vehicle dynamics sensor is a part of the ORC module.
"The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is a sensing and diagnostic module that is responsible for monitoring and managing hard wired inputs, outputs, bussed messages and contains the vehicles Dynamics Sensor"

I worked in Watertown for close to 20 years when the Torrington Company built a manufacturing facility in the industrial park. They still manufacture the steering intermediate shafts for the Ram trucks. Now named Global Steering Systems.

Yes, it sounds like the emergency fuel pump shutoff, in case of accident, was triggered. Usually its a quick reset of a switch or circuit breaker. Not sure where to find it on the Ram.

That is my son's gig these days , after pulling wrenches for yrs. They have some neat toys in the shop. ( out on the coast)
