......creating an “American-owned” Chrysler Corporation. The new entity would have Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram under its umbrella and would focus “not only on profits but also on the people who build these cars”, with workers becoming part-owners.
Stellantis says "No thanks" and he's butthurt they responded to the media but not to him. He's like the guy with thirteen cents in his bank account pestering somebody at the car show about buying their fully restored passion project. It's not for sale and you don't have any money if it is.

He seems genuine to me.You don't need money to buy anything, just good credit, or know someone that has money...lol
"Tavares has referenced the company's “arrogance” in discussing some of the issues, pointing to either production problems or excess inventory. He has cited problems at a couple of U.S. plants, without being too specific."Stellantis says "No thanks" and he's butthurt they responded to the media but not to him. Where was Tavares when the decision was made to abandon sedans without viable, less EPA burdened SUVs or subcompacts in the waiting? The Chrysler 300, despite initially strong sales, received next to little attention through the build and they gave up too early with the 200 and Dart. Slowly they backed themselves into a niche market corner with high performance, EPA-unfriendly cars and light trucks.
You are correct about lack of investment in the North American brands. Stellantis was using their admittedly cash cow American brands to bolster European nameplates and to fund the sudden push for EVs. While CDJR was providing revenue despite buying EPA credits, everything was fine. Now Tavares blanket command to not buy credits has caused a contraction in models and sales. That's very true, but even that isn't the full problem. They simply quit putting any money into C-D-J and not much into Ram. You can cut your way to profitability in the short term, but you can't cut your way to growth. They simply got passed over as they shoved too much money at Italian brands that aren't selling that strongly anywhere and ignored Jeep, etc.
Jeep's affordable entry lineup was slashed as they tried to move it upscale to a near luxury vehicle. Didn't work. Chrysler hasn't seen an actual new product since, what, 2015? Dodge hasn't seen a new product, either, or even new features other than reshuffling. Look at a new Mustang's interior then look at a Challenger's.
GM and Ford have caught up on truck interior quality and ride comfort. What's Ram's differentiator now? Not cheaper. Not more luxurious. Not more powerful. Not better equipped. The RHO instead of a TRX while the F-150 Raptor has the R? C'mon.
Jeep didn't even bother with 35" from the factory until Bronco started eating more of their sales. What's the motivation to buy a new Rubicon if you have an 8 year old Rubicon? What's better?
I don't know about that. I've been in a 2024 F150 and I didn't think it rode as well as my '19, and neither did the owner. The Ford still as too much hard plastic in the interior."GM and Ford have caught up on truck interior quality and ride comfort. What's Ram's differentiator now? Not cheaper. Not more luxurious. Likewise the new Silverado does have improved ride, but I still would rate the interior as bland, at least in the trim levels I've seen.
In standard engine form the new 2025 is very completive in power, and of the two reviews I've seen the Ram, even in Tradesman trim, has set a new standard in interior noise levels.

Speaking of snickers....I was at the store yesterday and 1(4-5") snickers bar was $2.99.....and in other news, gasoline is now .59/gallon, Snickers are .05/ea. and Marilyn Monroe has been resurrected and is now using Tinder and looking for a date.
Glad I kicked the processed sugar habit. I can't be on some Snickers Payment Plan/Layaway. I have other expensive habits to fund.Speaking of snickers....I was at the store yesterday and 1(4-5") snickers bar was $2.99.
