Insurance prices all boil down to zip codes and the accident stats on the vehicle.
Ten years ago, I paid less to insure my 7 year old Tundra Limited than the gf paid for her 13 year old POS basic model Saturn.
I'm sure it was all about how much it would have cost them if we were hit by someone else. Obviously, with the Tundra, there would be a much better likelihood of walking away.
In January '22, the insurance on my RAM was about $1050 Canadastan $, then in '23 it jumped up to about $1300.
I shopped around and couldn't save much anywhere else that I checked.
The insurance companies are paying out too much for death benefits and property damage.

Modern radios use the Radio Data System. RDS is a signal broadcast by radio stations including song/program information, traffic, advertisements, as well a time and date. There is no connection to your truck.I never signed up for anything. No uConnect, no satellite radio, no OnStar, nothing.
And yet...
I had to manually change the clock in my wife's 2011 Eclipse for Daylight Savings Time, but not my truck. My 2014 Ram already displayed the updated time change.
You clearly don't understand Police, Insurance, or life in general.I opted out...
Having said that, I'll bet all of you have Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, or at least use Amazon or Google search, Facebook, etc.
Know this... You're being tracked nearly 100% of the time.
And the insurance is going up mostly due to the "Defund the Police" BS. They're not prosecuting anyone for crimes anymore cause "the insurance will pay it".
My homeowners went up 20% this year - never had a claim in 32 years. Don't live in a high crime, flood, or other natural disaster area.
But I'm paying for those that do.
I wonder how this opt out BS works for me.
I transplanted a donor 8.4n radio into my OEM 5.0 truck. I can't activate my radio or anything through Sirius or Uconnect. Bet they are still just sucking up my data though. My Sirius travel stuff still works by the way. Not all the time but over holidays they turn it back on every year.
That's the world we live in now, data is a commodity that is bought, sold and traded and there is nothing we can do to completely kill it.
You can't get away from it.
Wild times! Especially with AI right now, even more data is being pulled from each and every one of us as technology moves forward.
Hyperbole much? You clearly don't understand Police, Insurance, or life in general.
Police don't prosecute anyone, they never have. Police DO get billions in funding to sleep in their cars, violently attack innocent law abiding people, and show up after crimes have been committed to block traffic and otherwise not do ****.
Insurance pays the same amount, whether or not someone goes to jail.
All insurance customers pay a little for all other insurance customers, and a LOT for insurance company profits. 90% of your premium increase is going to profits.
That's real crock of $hit right there. You clearly don't understand Police, Insurance, or life in general.

There are 2 reasons insurance is increasing across the board.
1. The dumping of money into our economy the past 3-4 years has devalued our currency (i.e. inflation)
2. The insurance companies are having to foot the bill for the dramatic increase in criminal behavior (theft and property destruction).
My homeowners insurance increased over 20% in ONE YEAR. I've had no claims filed in 32 years.
That's real crock of $hit right there.
Going to jail and being prosecuted is a deterrent!
Thank you for this. I just completed the form - although I use Brave as my browser (specifically for its privacy and security features) and, for some reason, the webpage would not come up on the Brave browser. I had to copy and paste it to Edge before I could access the webpage for the opt-out process. Go figure! Thanks for posting.
This is the FCA opt-out form.

I would be a fan if only it would recognize Ontario as my State. This link is only good for US residents.

which cord or fuse? This why I keep the cord cut.
I meant that I purposely bought a bare-bones truck with no connection to anything and that I even keep my GPS turned off unless I'm syncing my clock.which cord or fuse?
