Dyno tune vs. Jay Greene tune

So I don’t usually do reviews but this is worth it

So I recently had some performance work done on my 2014. The shop that did the work, dyno tuned my truck. Made good numbers according to my dyno sheet. Took it to the track and was very unhappy.

Got in touch with Jay Greene as I’ve heard nothing but great things about his tunes. After countless emails and knowledge from Jay, I pulled the trigger on one of his tunes.

Well I just loaded his tune he sent me. Holy smokes! My truck runs better than it has ever ran.

If anyone is debating his tunes, by all means, go for it!!

The company that Dyno tuned my bike gave life time updates for add ons down the road. I wonder if they would run Jays tune on the Dyno to compare results.

I doubt it. I’ll let track results speak for themselves. Also Jay does free updates unless you add a cam, boost or nitrous.

His tune definitely feels much better than my dyno tune. That’s for sure.

I've got a hemifever tune and when I went to have it dynoed for sharts and gaggles, they were amazed at the power it put out. Jay and Sean both know these trucks well and I'd put money that their email tune e is better than 99% of what most Dyno tuners could do on a Dyno. I think of it in terms like a drywall guy might be able to lay floor good enough, but he specializes in drywall and vice versa. Dyno tuners see all sorts of vehicle Les and can't know the in and outs of everything. I'm sure Jay and Sean know more than these trucks, but I consider them specialists with the hemi platform at least.

I've ran both Hemifever and Jays tunes. Both will give you a great seat of the pants difference over the stock tune. Jays tune just seems to fit my truck better.

I bugged him a bit about little things and he never seemed too busy to explain things or make small adjustments even though I know based off his Facebook posts he's swamped with requests. He truly makes you feel like your truck is important. The tunes are great, but the customer service is even better.

I couldn’t agree more. I just sent him some data logs yesterday for him to review and see if he wants to make any changes. No complaints here with his first tune for me. I can only imagine how well it will run if he makes changes based on my data logs.

That's the other thing, I haven't sent Jay a log as of yet and his tune is spot on with low ST knock. All I said in my original email to him was I was having trouble with detonation and he sent me the 4 diffent tunes (89/93 & 89/93 Tow), about 2 hours later. He's done 2 revisions for me after changing to a 190* tstat and changing a my 6th gear shift point but that's it. Both were sent back to me within 2 hours.

Couple that with a Pedal Commander and a Vararam and I'm a happy guy[emoji106]

I used Jay on my last truck (2005) and the results were remarkable. I am just waiting for a tuner for my '17 6.4 and I will use him again. I literally check everyday on the Diablo site, sometimes multiple times.

Check with Jay to see if HPTuners is an option for a tuner.
