Will a2003 5.7 Hemi install in a 2005 with a 5.7 , without any major changes, was told it wouldn't work but what I've seen it will just double checking before buying the 05, thanks guys

Do you have a 1500 or 2500/3500? 2003 doesn't use EGR, neither does 2005 2500/3500 but 2005 1500 does.

IIRC, the 2003 1500 I had used a unique ECM...It didn't have that cylinder cut-off function. Ran like a scalded dog, but you couldn't tune it.... Mitsubishi made the ECM for it, IIRC.

If you mean unique in that it had an untunable separate ECM and TCM then yes, it was.......unique lol. Of course it didn't have "that cylinder cut-off function" (or MDS as it is more commonly known) because trucks didn't get that until 2006.
