I swear, seems like my truck is falling apart here lately between the mystery noise, suspension repairs, and now this.

Anyway, my esp/bas light and traction control light turned on on the way home from the grocery store and stayed on. There are no codes stored at least not with my basic code reader.

From searching past posts it looks like maybe a wheel speed sensor is going out? Anyone have any insight?

According to my manual the esp/bas light can trigger but then reset itself. Hopefully the lights will be off in the morning when I go to work.

There are codes in the system, just that most base level scanners won't read the ABS module. You need to find someplace or somebody that can read the ABS codes and start from there. It doesn't require anything real special, just a step above a baseline scanner. I think you can buy something from Harbor Freight for $50.
Otherwise you are simply guessing.

Alright, thanks for the info. I will pick up a scanner that can read abs codes and report back.

Pulled the codes and got what the image below shows. I will do some research, but any information or tips are appreciated.

Any chance this could be as a result of the alignment I had done a couple of days before this happened?

Googling shows those codes can occur after an alignment. I cleared the codes. If they come back I may need to look into replacing the steering angle sensor/clockspring.

I would think there is definitely a chance the alignment could cause an issue. Don't have good personal knowledge of this issue but believe there are some calibrations and such that need done if the steering wheel has been recentered and such. You would need to do some more research on this.

Thanks 62blazer! This issue is new to me too but from what I see online it could be caused by an alignment. I cleared the codes, if it does it again I will have a shop recalibrate the steering angle sensor

Been a couple of days and I've driven a hundred miles or so and the lights are still off. It appears the issue was related to the alignment
