Help, my tailgate will not open 3500 Ram

Hauling my 5 th wheel home. Get it parked, ready to take off the hitch, dang tailgate will not cooperate. I’m stuck to a RV. Any ideas how to open ?
I have a sawsall.

Take inside tailgate panel off, only way to open it.

Yup, simply remove the panel and release from the inside.

Then oil the inner workings along with the latches to either side. Mine hung up a couple months back just like that. Once I got it open I lubed everything and it works fine now.

Turns out, mine is all electric, but my bumper sensors wouldn’t allow the button to unlatch the tailgate. I was hooked to my 5th wheel. Made the turn to get away from the trailer to unlock to disconnect. Long afternoon.

Some of those tailgates have an open recall on them something you might check.
