Looking to buy a 1st gen. RAM

Hello, I'm a new member here who loves 1st gen. RAM trucks. I'm looking to purchase one and get active in the community. Right now, I have my eye on an '86 W250 manual transmission with a 318 motor and wanted to get some feedback from others on it. I have a chance to buy it for $9,500 and am wondering if that's a good deal? It has a new cat back exhaust, 4 inch lift, wheels, and tires. Body has a bit of rust and some damage but it's in good running condition.

Yeah if you can getter for $8K even better. I got two a 85W150 and a 87W250 it’s really all about condition and options. I paid $12K for the W250 pretty much needed nothing and $2350 for W150 on the trailer needed more work.

The paint looks a bit rough, but that's not a really bad price if the interior is still good. I've seen worse ones sell for more.

Awesome! It's got the cloth seats like mine except for there is still cloth that is intact. That's not too common.

Not a fan of the wheels but can be changed, in the midwest that would be a little high in price in my neck of the woods anyway... that being said, you'd be buying a better truck than any garbage coming out of the factory today at 1/8 the cost.
