'08+ 4.7s have 310 hp. Superchips is supposed to add up to 50hp and 50lb-ft to that. So power-wise it is about the same as a 3rd gen Hemi with the SC

I don't know much about the 4.7 either but I know I wouldn't trade my Hemi for any other gas engine. It would be worth the wait even if you had to wait a little longer to get the Hemi.

Definitely go with the Hemi! If you're gonna make payments, might as well go all out lol!

my 4th gen has a 4.7 and ive had no problems with it. i test drove a Hemi and didnt notice a difference honestly. i dont know how i feel about the MDS feature either. i get around 18mpg and have plenty of power. dont know about any performance upgrades but i havent looked for any either. all i added was a K&N drop in filter. i love the truck all around im sure everyone else on here with a 4th gen will agree they are awesome trucks in and out!

I love my 2011 Ram With the Hemi. My friend has the 4.7 in his 2010 and he is not happy. I let him drive my truck with the bigger tires and lift and he was blown away with the gas mileage and power. Ram currently offers a 13K hemi discount or at least they were last month when I bought mine.
