Is that under the UCA ?Here is mine. Edit; forgot I was in 5th gen forum. Mine is a 4th gen 1500 (2018)
Correct!Looks like it’s inside the frame rail driver side in front of the front crossmember
Mine is a dual filter and on the frame behind the grill. Easy to get to now. 2019 1500 4x4 hemiDOES ANYONE HAVE PICTURES OF WHERE THEY PUT THE relocated OIL FILTER ?
Thanks for posting those. Interesting decision on location. Looks like you'll be cleaning off your active air dam after changing filters now.Mine is a dual filter and on the frame behind the grill. Easy to get to now. 2019 1500 4x4 hemi
It will void any part of the warranty that they could prove was caused by it being installed. For instance, if it was not installed properly and your oil leaked out causing an engine issue. They would deny your warranty because the aftermarket part caused the failure. Installing aftermarket parts do not automatically void warranties. But if they can prove that the aftermarket part caused the failure, then warranty coverage can be denied.Does anyone know installing this would void the warranty?
Shouldn't be enough to worry about. But then again, I purposely mounted the filter slightly lower than the original filter location, and routed the hoses as straight as I could. So most of the oil would naturally drain out when the filter was removed. When changing oil how much old oil is left in the lines and/or how do you drain the lines? Not enough to care about contamination of new oil?
Vertical is better, that way you can pre-fill the filter, plus there's no drain back with them sitting vertical.Does mounting the filter vertical vs. horizontal make any difference? Seems Horizontal would be much easier to catch the oil as it comes out.

The front bumper / tow hook mount and front crossmember are lower then they are,you bust off the tow hook mount or smash the crossmember or bumper hard enough to bend things enough you hit the filters, you got more serious issues then the oil filters,(if you look closer, you'll see the front bumper and front crossmember are way lower then the filters). You're probably picking your teeth out of the steering wheel, lolI'm not sure I'd put them there. You (or a guest driver) just need to jump the wrong curb or push up against something sticking up from the ground and you have a few seconds before your hemi bleeds out and stops working.
