I don't understand this.... In the middle of winter, I drive around in 2wd unless I get stuck. Why do you need it during the rain?

Can you drive at highway speeds with truck set on 4WD Auto?

Yes, you sure can, many in the north just put it in 4WD Auto
in November and leave it on until the end of March. We have
some snow and ice for months.

Can you drive at highway speeds with truck set on 4WD Auto?
YES Only 4WD low has a speed limitation of 25 mph.

FROM MANUAL:

For variable driving conditions, the 4WD AUTO mode can
be used. In this mode, the front axle is engaged, but the
vehicle’s power is sent to the rear wheels. Four-wheel drive
will be automatically engaged when the vehicle senses a
loss of traction. Because the front axle is engaged, this
mode will result in lower fuel economy than the 2WD
mode.

I use 4WD auto in rainy conditions because my tires are getting worn. I think it helps to use 4WD auto in these conditions.
Same here.that last set if tires were awful near the end...helped tremendously.
