Ram 1500 to 2500 Bed Sizes for bed topper

I've been looking for a bed topper for my 2010 2500 megacab (short bed - 6'4"). I've found one about 3.5hrs away that came off of a 2015 Ram 1500 6'4" bed. I can't find much information on line other than Dodge calls the 6'4" for the 1500 a mid size bed and the 6'4" for the 2500 a short bed. Are the 6'4" bed on all the 4th gens the same? I don't want to drive 4hrs one way to find out it doesn't fit.

I picked up the topper today and it fits. I wired up the third brake light, thank you Dodge for leaving a pigtail for the brake light above the spare! Now to get it cleaned up and painted to match the truck! (It's silver, the truck is brown...)

Just now seeing this but as you have found out, YES, it will fit.

I will, have to get it painted to match the truck first. Right now the truck is Austin Tan (re: brown) with a silver cap. It actually doesn't look bad, but not the look I was going for. Amazingly, toppers are hard to find used. I did find out that the one I picked up was made in 2018, so fairly new for $650. I'm getting it painted to match for ~$250. Not bad for a two year old campershell that is normally priced ~$2k. It's an A.R.E. V I believe.

As you found out it will fit the bed as they are the same. I had the same dilemma getting mine. I did find out that the cab body line is slightly different on the quad cab and crew/mega cabs. Slightly different angle but they still fits. Its just a narrower gap on the top (if that makes sense). I had a black crew cab model on my truck at one point and the fit was definitely tighter near the top.
