In March, I changed the rear passenger Door Lock Actuator on my 2017 Ram 1500 Crew Cab, using a Dorman from O’Reilly. Now I am having problems opening the door from the outside. I need to pull with both hands to get the door to open. I did not have any problem with the Actuator install. It is not a problem from the inside.

I did collision work for 12 years, and did a lot of door adjustments, but there is no way to adjust this striker or lock. Anyone else ever have this problem before? Is this just a bad Actuator?

Had the same happen to me on my tailgate. Had to "adjust" the connector linkage by bending it. Now it's smooth as butter.
New and old components may have slightly different dimensions between the new and old components. Mine did, and they were both OEM handles.
