Right brand, wrong model. They've been in the Wagoneer (SO) and Grand Wagoneer (HO) for a couple years now.
Had a 74 Cherokee AWD with 304 motor. Now that was a jeep go any where every time. 8 mpg every day lol. Rode like a 66 Mack truck or a 1/4 ton M151 but it was a Beast lol

Please search on that topic. It's been beat to death in several threads already. Here's just a couple but there are more where etorque is discussed...

1500 rides better than a 2500, but air down the tires on a 2500 to 50 frt and 45 rear when not towing and they ride so much better. Only 2mpg difference between the 1500 and 2500 Hemi when empty.

And, the 6.4 gets terrible MPG's. The 5.7 is ok...
pish... jeez... for a 3/4 ton truck closing in on 4 tons, and the aerodynamic signature of a brick... you thing you're going to get like 25-30 mpg??? I have gotten 17-19 mpg on several occasions... and that's with 4.10 gears. No complaints whatsoever.

None of us bought the 6.4 with gas mileage in mind, but if I let the MDS do it's thing - which is seldom - I can get up to 25 MPG. I usually override it with the ERS when driving in town.

Maybe on the instant readout. I can get that one to read 99 mpg on occaission too.;-)) I have NEVER GOT 25 MPG over any kind of extended distance, no matter the speed, cruise MDs etc.Screenshot_20240426_092041_FillUp.jpg

Nope, never said I think I should get 25-30 mpg out of my 6.4 hemi. I would be happy with your numbers, but I'm nowhere close to that. Best I have gotten was like 15.8...on the computer...it was around 14.3 hand calculated. It should be able to do better than that. I think the hemis are the worst fuel mileage V8 on the market. That doesn't mean I don't like it. I always had cummins engines before this hemi and could always squeeze 25 mpg on the same route I got 14 and some change with the hemi...and those are also heavey trucks with the aerodynamic signature of a brick...like you say!!!

Yes, the instant readout. If I put the CC at about 40 - 45 MPH with the MDS doing it's thing, on a flat road I can sustain 20 - 24 MPG. Going downhill with my foot off the accelerator it will do that 99 MPG thing every time - for a short period. My overall lifetime MPG is like 14.5.

Who uses CC at 40-45 MPH? Can't say I've ever turned on CC on any road less than where I'm doing 55+.

Unless there's heavy traffic, I use CC at just about any speed where I need to maintain speed for any length of time. Adaptive CC keeps me sane when I'm not able to pass someone. Especially if they are not maintaining a constant speed. Why do you limit yourself to only using CC when doing 55+?

I enjoy driving. Don't have adaptive CC.

Otherwise, saying you get 24-25 MPG at 40-45 MPH is pretty pointless. Unless you have endless roads around you that are 45 MPH. No one is taking a trip at 45 MPH. Most people are limited to town/city limits of 25-35 MPH, which is stop'n'go, or back road / highway of 55+.

I enjoy driving as well. But not so much on my daily commute. It's a pretty boring drive at speeds of 25, 35, 45, 50, and 60 mph. 6 of the 25 miles in my daily commute are limited to 45 mph. It's painful driving that speed for 6 miles, following other drivers, without using ACC. Adaptive cruise control was a game changer for me. I didn't think I'd want it until I bought my first vehicle with it. I don't use it on a busy multi-lane road though. You can probably imagine why.

The twisty roads I enjoy driving in my area have corners which generally force you to drive much lower speeds, so using CC on those roads is not advised. They're also much more fun to drive in my Audi than in the truck. So there's that.

I use it all the time. I live rural and the speed limit on most roads within 5 miles of me is 45 - 50 MPH so I use it anytime I'm going to be maintaining that speed for more than a mile, which is about 1/2 of my driving. I've had my truck over 55 MPH once in the past 2 weeks, and that's when I had to jump on the freeway for about 10 minutes because my shortcut was under construction.

Today, on one of those rural roads, I set it at 50 MPH and maintained about 22-24 MPG for 20 minutes.

Had a 21 1500 rebel with air suspension. Now have ‘24 2500 rebel (but with Cummins, no air).

1500 definitely drove smoother and handled better. The 2500 is also bigger and drives a bit different overall. Bigger turning radius, higher hood, etc.
But the 2500 is livable and fine. It’s not uncomfortable by any means.
My wife daily’s a Range Rover and she still has no issue at all in the ride of the 2500 and likes it just as much as my 1500 even though it’s a bit rougher.

you should easily be able to get a test drive at the dealer. Try it out
