Is anyone planning to or already put the order in for a Ripp Supercharger? Can’t imagine anyone would have it installed yet, but maybe I’m wrong. What are you plans for the power increase as far as it exceeding the transmission torque rating?

How much fun is this thing going to add to these trucks?

Nope.

Going to need a tranny rebuild as well.

So, probably $10k+ all in if I had to guess.

I emailed Ripp and asked them about the tranny. Said they haven’t had any issues and have been running the SC for a couple years + a lot of hauling on long range trips. They say only sustained upper end torque would cause failure but I suppose time will tell for those who install.

They are full of **** to put it lightly. Look at various Jeep and other forums. Lots of problems.

Place up the street from me is a dealer, and do a lot of them. Lots of jeeps come back 30-60k miles later for rebuilds.

I would call a transmission shop. Some places sell “bulletproof” kits specifically so you can slap a blower on.

I installed the ripp supercharger on my 2018 3.6 ram. Now have 51000 miles on it. No issues with the motor or transmission. May not be what everyone is looking for, but for what I need my truck for it is perfect. Pull 9% grades in west virginia like it is nothing. I have 321 gears so don't pull heavy loads, but what I have pulled around 4000 pounds has done well. No overheating, smooth operation. As my daily driver to work, get around 23 mag, on I 85 to clemson ( relatively flat) get 26. As a centrifugal sc power comes in high 2's and builds from there. Like a I said , may not be for everyone, but works well for me without problems.

I envy you... I've wanted this since I first saw their demo video. How much did it cost you installed?

Believe the kit was around 6300.....I installed it myself, so no cost there. Kit came with everything I needed, including their tune...my truck ran well with it, so kept that tune. Has run well ever since. The cost of the supercharger and the truck was 12 to 15000 cheaper than a new one. With the low miles on the truck thought overall was a good deal as opposed to buying new .
